Push Mobile & the Nation's Favorites

On the 30th March 2012 the nations biggest football clubs Simba and Yanga launched one of the biggest loyalty SMS campaigns for 2012 in association with Push Mobile. The campaign will continue for three months.

Push Mobile Media is a mobile partner for both teams and is proud to be facilitating such an exciting campaign in which there are some truly incredible prizes to be won as well as cash prizes to be won every single day of the campaign!

Participation is simple and partakers can play as many times as they like. Participants are required to send the key words “Simba” for Simba fans or “Yanga” for Yanga fans to the short code “15678”. Once the keyword has been sent, the participants will receive an SMS welcoming them to the campaign along with a multiple choice “A” or “B” question.

Billy Kaye, Push Mobile’s leading software developer was recently named one of the best programmers in East Africa after winning the highly esteemed Garage48 competition in Uganda in September last year. Billy is truly one of Uganda’s finest and a real innovator in his field. A skilled Software Developer with over 6 years experience in analyzing requirements, designing and developing software across a wide range of industries, Billy is also leading the way in Software development in East Africa.

Garage48 is a boot camp style contest that aims to change the mindset of people who may be too scared to start their own businesses, and show that it's all about positive attitude, creative team members and a motivating deadline. All participants gather together in a big room and pitch about 30 to 40 ideas on stage. Each idea is put on the wall and everyone can choose his or her favorite idea and team to work with. Usually about 12-15 ideas will be selected and each team has 48 hours to move from the initial idea to a working solution. Billy’s idea was one selected for development; he was the back end developer and a team was built around him and his idea. After the 48 hours of work and development Billy’s idea was chosen as the overall winner.

Last month Push Mobile Media, Tanzania’s No 1 Interactive Mobile Communications firm was proud to partner with Serengeti Breweries Ltd (SBL) for what is now the second time, to pull off yet another exciting give-away campaign. SBL is a subsidiary company of the world class Diageo PLC (UK) and Push Mobile is honored to be their mobile partner for choice. This year Push Mobile is working with not one, but three of SBL’s major brands, Serengeti Premium Larger, Tusker Lager and Pilsner Lager.
